This edition features a 21-page special tribute to Douglas Tompkins with essays from Lito Tejada-Flores, ex-Chile President Ricardo Lagos, Patricio Rodrigo, and Hernan Mladinic, and truly beautiful photography of many of the places Tompkins has protected in Patagonia by Mexican photographer Antonio Vizcaino. We also re-publish an essay written by Tompkins himself about his 1968 road trip in a second-hand van from California to Patagonia to climb Cerro Fitz Roy. Our extensive section on endangered species this issue includes, among several stories, an article about restoring condors by Jack Miller.
